Most of us only know of Scientology in passing, as something for celebrities. The truth is Scientology is a very real and very dangerous group. It's a group that has killed. On December 5, 1995, Lisa McPherson was dead on arrival at a hospital 45 minutes north of Clearwater Florida. According to the coroner's report, Lisa was underweight, severely dehydrated, and had bruises and bug bites. On November 18, 1995, Lisa was involved in a minor car accident. She was apparently not hurt, but she got out of her car and took all her clothes off and seemed mentally unstable. She was taken to a hospital where she was physically evaluated as being unharmed, but the hospital wanted her to be psychologically cared for. However, some Scientologists arrived and stated that Lisa did not believe in psychiatry, and she checked out after a short evaluation and left with the Scientologists. She went with them to Room 174 of the Ft. Harrison Hotel for "rest and relaxation" according to the church. The next time anyone outside the church saw her was when she arrived dead at a hospital 45 minutes away from severe dehydration and pulmonary embolism. Lisa sadly isn't the only person to suffer from unlicensed medical treatment at the hands of Scientology. There is a long list of others who died or took their own life after the treatment from the church failed to cure their cancer, mental illnesses or other health problems. It's a group that will accept nothing but everything from their members "When somebody enrolls, consider he or she has joined up for the duration of the universe — never permit an "open-minded" approach... If they enrolled, they're aboard, and if they're aboard they're here on the same terms as the rest of us — win or die in the attempt. Never let them be half minded about being Scientologists. ... When Mrs. Pattycake comes to us to be taught, turn that wandering doubt in her eye into a fixed, dedicated glare. ... The proper instruction attitude is, "We'd rather have you dead than incapable." - Keeping Scientology Working (7 February 1965), reissued (27 August 1980) It's a group that will strip civil rights from it's own members to "rehabilitate" them "The "rehabilitation" consisted of lots of work, mainly cleaning, and started at 8 AM with roll-call. We had to say "Ay Sir" when called upon or spoken to. We were not permitted to talk to people outside the DPF and later on not to DPF-members from other countries. In that way be became isolated. The first night we were only 2 people in a normal 2-beds room. Next night and the following, we were 18 people in it. We happen to get breakfast sometimes, but that was not normal. I remember one morning when the 82 of us got 16 slices of bread to share and one man took 6 of them." - Birgitta Dagnell: "My story about scientology" It's a group that will stop at nothing to silence the people that would speak against it "A truly Suppressive Person (a Suppressive Person or SP is someone who disagrees with the teachings of Scientology) or group has no rights of any kind and actions taken against them are not punishable." - Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter (1 March 1965) HCO (Division 1) "Ethics, Suppressive Acts, Suppression of Scientology and Scientologists" "This is the correct procedure: Spot who is attacking us. Start investigating them promptly for felonies or worse using our own professionals, not outside agencies. Double curve our reply by saying we welcome an investigation of them. Start feeding lurid, blood sex crime actual evidence on the attackers to the press. Don't ever tamely submit to an investigation of us. It's a group that teaches at it's highest level that Jesus Christ was a PEDOPHILE. The following are excerpts from OT VIII, part of the highest level scriptures of Scientology, written and disseminated by L Ron Hubbard on May 5th 1980. The Church of Scientology publicly claims that these excerpts have been forged. During the legal proceedings of Church of Scientology International C Fishman and Geertz, however, Kendrick Moxon, one of the churches top lawyers, confirmed that the text is indeed and RTC copyright and hence, church scripture. All this makes for very fantastic, entertaining reading but there is truth in it. "This anti-Christ represents the forces of Lucifer (literally, the 'light bearers' or 'light bringer'), Lucifer being a mythical representation of the forces of enlightenment, the Galactic Confederacy. My mission could be said to fulfill the Biblical promise presented by this brief anit-Christ period. "During this period there is a fleeting opportunity for the whole scenario to be effectively derailed, which would make it impossible for the mass Marcabian landing (Second Coming) to take place. The Second Coming is designed, among other things, to trigger a rapid series of destructive events. [...] Virtually all religions of any consequence on this planet, mono-and pantheistic alike, have been instruments to speed the progress of the 'evolution of consciousness' and bring about the eventual enslavement of mankind. "For those of you whose Christian toes I may have stepped on, let me take the opportunity to disabuse you of some lovely myths. For instance, the historic Jesus was not nearly the sainted figure he has been made out to be. In addition to being a lover of young boys and men, he was given to uncontrollable bursts of temper and hatred that belied the general message of love, understanding and other typical Marcab PR. You have only to look at the history his teachings inspired to see where it all inevitably leads. It is historic fact and yet man still clings to the ideal, so deep and insidious is the biologic implanting.
