Join the Worldwide Fight against Scientology

If you share our concerns about the Church of Scientology, we urge you to get involved in a safe, legal way:

  • Spread the word about Scientology to your friends and family
  • Attend a protest
  • Lobby your representatives to revoke Scientology’s tax-exempt status
  • Distribute information

  • Just remember, whatever you do, stay safe. Scientology has a long, well-documented history of responding to public criticism with intimidation, harassment and litigation.

    Spread the word

The more the general public knows about the truth behind Scientology, the fewer people can be pulled into its grasp or deceived by its propaganda.

Pass the card to someone else

A good start is to take the card that led you to this site and simply place it where someone else can find it. Or make more cards (They can be printed on inexpensive card stock from any office supply store) and leave them here and there. Put one in the window of a car parked next to you, stick one up on a bulletin board or leave one on the table the next time you go out to eat.

We have a large number of URLs which all lead to this site: www.YouFoundTheCard.com www.YouFoundTheSticker.com www.YouFoundTheCash.com www.YouFoundTheChips.com www.YouFoundTheThing.com www.UnfairGame.net www.TheHiddenSticker.com

You can get templates for printing your own cards here.

    Email your contact list

You can email your friends and family. Here is a simple text file for a "spread the word" email that you can send to anyone you know. Change it around if you'd like, but send it to anyone you don't want to see hurt by this dangerous cult.

Or simply email one of our URLs to your contacts!

Every month, concerned citizens will gather at Scientology centers across North America, Europe, Australia and Africa to peacefully educate the public about the crimes of this dangerous, deceitful organization. To get involved with a protest, go to the Why We Protest forums.

Beginning on February 10th, 2008 there were protests at over 108 Scientology locations in 17 countries with an estimated 7600 people participating. On March 15th, April 12th, May 10th, and every following month of 2008, we repeated the protest worldwide. There was not a single violent incident at any of these global protests.

Click here for videos and pictures from the February 10th protests.

To stay abreast of protest-related news and coordination efforts, join the forums at http://forums.whyweprotest.net or the social network at http://network.marcab.org.

Be part of this historical wave of protests!

Check back often, as there will be more scheduled soon!

    Send Letters to Your Lawmakers

Send letters or emails to your representatives in the government, urging them to look into the crimes that Scientology has committed and to remove their tax exempt status.
Our representatives in Congress need to know that we are outraged the United States has not only allowed Scientology's abuse and deception to continue unabated within our borders, but is in fact helping to fund the abuse by granting Scientology tax-exempt status.

    Find Your Senator

    Find Your Representative

Here is an example of a letter you can send to your representatives. Customize the letter any way you wish. Physical letters or phone calls to representatives are generally more effective than emails, though we encourage you to get involved in whatever ways suit you.

Fliers and Information To Pass Out

    Handing Fliers Out In Person

As you can see from the Fair Game Policy page, Scientologists can be dangerous when you cross their path.
If you plan on attending a protest, either to participate or observe, we highly recommend taking these steps:

  • Wear a mask or cover your face if it is legal in your area. Especially if masks are not legal in your area, wear sunglasses, a hat, and/or a scarf to help maintain your anonymity.
  • Wear clean, nondescript clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
  • Especially if you are in a cold climate, dress comfortably and warmly. Layer your clothes and top everything with a waterproof jacket. Wear comfortable, waterproof boots, thermal underwear, a hat, and gloves. Remember, you will be outside for several hours.
  • Leave weapons, or anything that looks like a weapon, at home.
  • If you are making a sign, make sure it bears a clear, concise slogan that is readable from far away. “Scientology kills” is a short, effective message. If possible, keep your sign hidden (rolled up under your jacket, for example) until you reach the protest site.
  • Bring a camcorder or camera to record what's going on. This will prevent the Church of Scientology from claiming you were doing something illegal.
  • There's safety in numbers! Bring friends you know and trust.
  • Do not trust strangers, especially those who join the protest and advocate illegal tactics. They may very well be Scientology plants. Be wary of strangers who approach you and seem overly friendly or enthusiastic. Do not give them your name, and single them out immediately.
  • Do not under any circumstances harm or touch any Scientologist. They may bump into you and pretend you assaulted them. Be ready for this tactic.
  • If a Scientologist speaks to you, especially if they “bullbait” you by hurling accusations at you, silently sink into a sitting position. Do not answer them or attempt to make jokes.
  • Do not give any Scientologists or strangers your name or any other personal information. Keep your identification in a safe place, not an open pocket where it can be lifted.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement. As long as you demonstrate peacefully, law enforcement will be on your side.
  • Park far from the site of the demonstration; better yet, take public transportation. Scientologists have been known to take pictures of demonstrators’ license plates and follow people home.
  • Do not go directly home from the gathering. See a movie with your friends instead, or spend a couple hours in a public place to relax and decompress.
  •

These precautions may sound a bit extreme. Sadly, many Scientologists are trained to sidetrack demonstrations and verbally attack anyone who is spreading information about the church’s transgressions. They are trained to “attack, never defend,” and will often antagonize peaceful demonstrators in hopes that the person will respond with anger or violence. You can see this tactic illustrated in many protest videos.

Keep your composure and stay focused on the task at hand: educating the public about Scientology, and increasing the visibility of this movement.

Above all, have fun and stay safe.
